Capturing Love in Kyoto: An October Proposal at Daigoji Temple
October is one of the most beautiful months to visit Kyoto. The weather is cool, the skies are clear, and the city begins to show the first hints of autumn colors. It is an ideal time for strolls through temples and gardens with fewer crowds compared to the peak seasons.
The calm and romantic atmosphere makes it perfect for meaningful moment, and for Mohit, this was the perfect moment for a surprise proposal.
Planning the Perfect Surprise
When Mohit reached out to me, he wanted help making sure the proposal went exactly as imagined: intimate, genuine, and with a beautiful natural background. We discussed several possible spots, including Maruyama Park, Okochi Sanso Garden, and Daigoji Temple. After going through the options, he decided on Daigoji Temple for its peaceful garden and the iconic red bridge that frames the moment perfectly.
Executing the Plan

I gave them a few minutes to themselves to take it all in before I approached them to begin the portrait session.
