Planning an Intimate Proposal
Chris wanted his proposal to Lily to be private, something intimate and meaningful. We discussed several options and talked about what kind of setting would best capture their story. After considering the choices, Chris decided on Kawaguchiko for its quiet charm and beautiful surroundings. For him, the fewer the people, the more personal and emotional the moment could be.

The Morning Shoot
We planned a one-hour shoot in Kawaguchiko. Chris and Lily arrived from Tokyo by bus, and we started early in the morning to make the most of the quiet and soft light. The timing was perfect. Little to no people, calm surroundings, and the perfect time to get down on one knee.
Where Everything Came Together
The photos captured a mix of calm and excitement, perfectly reflecting Chris and Lily’s connection. We took our time, wandering under the trees, pausing by a small temple, and ending by the lake where the water mirrored the morning light. Each frame felt unforced and genuine, showing two people enjoying a quiet moment together in one of Japan’s most peaceful places.
