Planning A Romantic Cherry Blossom Proposal in Sapporo
Planning a trip to Japan with the goal of catching cherry blossoms takes careful research, planning, and timing. Spring is the country’s most visited season because of these pink blooms, but they’re fleeting and only last for a short time in each area.
Alex, who lives in Calgary, reached out while planning a trip to Japan. He wanted help finding the right proposal location, specifically one with cherry blossoms in a private and romantic setting.
We discussed several options, including Moerenuma Park, known for its open views and modern landscape design, and Sannenzaka, a historic stone-paved street in Kyoto. We explored a few more locations as well, but realized it might be too early for cherry blossoms in those areas during their visit.
After careful planning, we decided on Hoshimi Ryokuchi Park. Located just five minutes from Hoshimi Station, it stands out for its natural scenery, open grassy spaces, and quieter atmosphere.
My associate, Alejandra Acosta, was there to capture everything as it unfolded. She stayed undercover for a while to keep the surprise intact, waiting for the right moment before Alex proposed to Teresa.
When it finally happened, they were surrounded by soft pastel cherry blossoms, which made the moment feel completely theirs. It was a unique and beautiful setting.
Planning something like this can be challenging, but with experience and careful preparation, it becomes much more manageable.
My team and I focus on making the process as smooth as possible so you can enjoy the moment. If you’re planning around a specific season or simply want your memories captured, feel free to send me a message.
